Goodbye, America

11 hours until my plane takes off, 24 hours until I'll be on the ground in Ireland. I suppose I've become a bit anxious. If you know me, you know that I don't really get excited... and I'm at that stage now. More resolved than anything.

There should be some interesting things around the city to take pictures of in the next few weeks. Maybe somebody will want to go out and shoot. I'll post pictures if I get any. I also hear fresher's week is a good time to shoot... though I'm not sure why. Fall-fest at UNC isn't special.

Also, I think I'll be living with internationals/freshman. I don't think many sophomores or higher are getting housing. UCD seems to have limited numbers of rooms, several of which are being remodelled. I couldn't ask for more -- we'll all be new to the university.

Anyway, I plan on posting when I get there just to say I've gotten there. I can't possibly email/call everyone that has asked. Wish me luck on making my connection in O'Hare.

Let there be tunes...

I've finally gotten around to writing something I've been meaning to for a long time. I php based playlist generator. It will recurse through all of the mp3's that I have posted and generate a playlist in M3U form, and hand it back to me. If I add some music, I can just re-run the script, and I've got all of the updates. Now I can have my tunes anywhere in the world (with inet), on demand, without having to keep them on my laptop. Glorious.

And if you're looking for that one song, but just can't find it, read this interesting article. (Executive summary: type -> intitle:index.of "mp3" +"U2" -htm -html -php -asp "Last Modified" <- into google.
